연구 내용
물리적인 상처 혹은 감염에 의한 생체내 면역반응과정에서 면역세포들의 형태(morphology) 및 이동성(motility)에 대한 연구는 면역기전의 이해와 이를 바탕으로 질병치료제 개발을 위해 필수적인 요소입니다. 본 연구실에서는 two-photon intravital imaging (이광자생체이미징) 및 tissue clearing(조직투명화) 기법을 이용한 whole organ 3차원 이미징 등을 활용하여, 기존의 다른 연구기법들로는 관찰 또는 분석이 불가능했던 면역현상을 실시간으로 규명하는 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 더불어, imaging data를 bulk or spatial single RNA sequencing data와의 상관성을 분석하여 세포내 분자수준에서 기전 규명에 집중하고 있습니다.
상기의 목적을 달성하고자 본 연구실에서는 살아 있는 마우스의 감염 또는 물리적인 상처를 입힌 염증 모델의 brain, lung, intestine, skin, liver와 같은 다양한 장기들에서 면역세포들간의 상호작용 및 면역세포의 감염원에 대한 방어작용 기전을 밝히는 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

학생 참여 정보

학생들이 참여하면 좋을 연구
  • 1) 장기별 마우스 질환 모델에서 two-photon intravital imaging 실습 및 data 분석
  • 2) 특정 gene knockout 또는 fluorescent(형광화) 마우스를 이용한 특정 세포 수준의 기능에 관여하는 분자 기전 규명
  • 3) Cell line 및 primary cell preparation 및 culture 학습
  • 4) 기타 FACS, Western blot, in vitro imaging 기법 학습
학생 참여 시 사용하게 되는 장비 및 프로그램
  • 본 연구실에서의 연구는 two-photon microscope, epi-fluorescent microscope, lightsheet microscope등의 다양한 현미경 장비들을 직접 사용할 수 있고, Imaris 및 Volocity software와 같은 이미징 분석 프로그램들을 사용하게 됩니다.
