연구 내용
면역계는 병원균 및 암 발생 억제에 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 면역계는 선천면역(innate immunity)과 적응면역(adaptive immunity)으로 나누어지며 병원균의 pattern-associated molecular pattern(PAMP) 및 숙주 세포의 자극 혹은 죽음으로 유리되는 세포 단백(danger-associated molecular pattern, DAMP)이 숙주 수용체(pattern recognition receptor)와 결합하여 염증반응을 유발한다. 이러한 염증 반응은 급성 질환(패혈증 등) 및 만성 질환(대사성 질환, 암세포 전이, 자가면역질환, 노인성 신경질환, aging 등)의 병인과정을 이해하는 중요한 기전이다. 본 연구실은 염증기전에 근거한 위 급성 및 만성 질병 유발 기전, 염증에 따른 세포 노화 및 세포 죽음과 치료제 개발, 암세포 전이 기전을 연구하고 있다.

학생들이 참여하면 좋을 연구
  • 위 주제에 따른 기본적인 연구계획서 작성 요령(연구멘토링), 연구 수행을 통해 기본적인 wet lab 연구 방법 습득 및 연구 수행을 습득하기 위한 그림자 밟기(심화연구멘토링) 및 실제 수행(연구집중과정).
학생 참여 시 사용하게 되는 장비 및 프로그램
  • 1. 실험에 따라 다양한 wet lab 장비, 분자생물학적 기법 이용을 통한 장비 활용: western blot, immunoprecipitation, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, 단백질 정제, PCR, qRT-PCR, 세포 배양 관련 기법 등 실험에 맞는 다양한 장비 활용.
  • 2. 실험에 따라 동물실 이용
  • 3. 연구멘터링, 심화연구멘토링, 연구집중과정에 참여하게 되면 대학원생 혹은 연구교수와 배정되어 그림자 밟기 실습을 직접 참여하며, 실험실 랩미팅에 참여 가능함. 학생들에게 자율적인 기회를 제공하며 면담 후 결정함.
