연구 내용
바이러스 기반 종양치료연구실은 크게 3가지의 세분화된 연구를 수행한다. 첫째, 암세포신호전달 네트워크의 복잡성 이해를 통한 항암 치료유전자 후보군 발굴, 둘째, 아데노바이러스의 복제와 감염효율 증진에 관한 연구. 셋째, 실제 임상치료가 가능한 형태의 유전자 탑재된 암용해바이러스 기반 항암제 개발을 수행한다. 구체적으로 종양의 이질성과 항암제 내성 발달을 극복하기 위한 key targets 후보유전자 pool을 다수 확보하여 세포살상 및 면역능이 강화된 바이러스 기반 항암제 후보군들을 확립하고 효과를 검증하는 연구를 수행한다. 그리고 이들 후보물질들의 임상적 적용을 위해 암용해 바이러스(oncolytic virus, OV)의 체내 전달과 종양타겟팅을 위해 세포전달체 (중간엽줄기세포, MSC)의 최적화를 수행하고 궁극적으로는 OV/MSC 항암복합체 플랫폼 구축를 위한 연구를 진행한다.
