연구 분야
연구 내용
우리 연구실은 각막 및 안구 표면 질환에 대한 유전자 치료제 개발과 Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) 기반의 약물 전달 시스템 최적화에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 이 연구의 목표는 기존 치료법이 해결하지 못한 문제들을 해결하고, 환자 맞춤형 치료법을 제공하는 것입니다.

1. 유전자 치료제 개발
각막 및 안구 표면 질환은 전통적인 치료로 해결하기 어려운 경우가 많습니다. 이를 위해 유전자 치료와 유전자 전달 시스템을 이용하여 질병의 근본 원인을 해결하고자 합니다. 유전자 편집 기술을 통해 각막 이형성증과 유전성 각막 질환을 치료할 수 있는 방법을 제시합니다.

2. Lipid Nanoparticle 기반 약물 전달 시스템
Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) 기술을 활용하여 유전자 및 약물을 효율적으로 안구 조직에 전달할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하고 있습니다. LNP는 약물의 안정성을 유지하고 세포 내로 정확히 전달되므로, 안구건조증과 각막 질환의 치료에 유망한 방법입니다.

3. 안구건조증 및 안구 표면 질환 연구
안구건조증과 안구 표면 질환의 유전자 치료 및 약물 전달 방법을 연구합니다. 염증 경로를 규명하고 이를 타겟으로 하는 치료제를 개발하여, 안구건조증 환자에게 더 나은 치료 옵션을 제공하려고 합니다.

4. 임상 데이터 연구
백내장 및 각막 표면 질환에 대한 임상 연구도 진행 중입니다. 유전자 치료를 통해 백내장 및 각막 질환의 재발을 예방하고, 안구 표면 질환의 증상을 완화하는 방법을 모색하고 있습니다.

  • 학생들은 백내장, 각막 질환, 안구건조증 등과 관련된 임상 데이터를 분석하며, 실제 환자 데이터를 기반으로 치료 방법을 개선하는 데 기여할 수 있습니다. 이는 데이터 분석, 통계적 연구 방법 등을 익히고, 실제 의료 환경에서의 문제 해결 능력을 키울 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.
  • 2. 중개 실험 연구
  • 실험 연구에서는 Nanoparticle(LNP) 기술을 이용한 약물 전달 시스템 개발과 유전자 치료 연구에 참여할 수 있습니다. 학생들은 실험 설계, 동물 실험, 약물 및 유전자 전달 시스템 최적화 등의 과정을 통해 실험적 연구 방법을 배우고, 연구 결과를 실용적인 치료법으로 발전시키는 데 기여할 수 있습니다
학생 참여 시 사용하게 되는 장비 및 프로그램
  • 실험실에 있는 다양한 기기들 (PCR, Western blot, 세포배양 관련, Nanoparticle 제작 관련 장비 등)을 사용해 볼 수 있는 경험을 가질 수 있습니다.
  • 임상 데이터 연구를 위해서는 통계 분석 프로그램 등을 사용할 수 있습니다.
참여 전 준비사항
  • 임상데이터 연구를 위해 IRB 교육 및 실험 연구를 위해 실험동물부 이용자 교육을 이수하면 좋으나 필수는 아님.
