Abstract
Medical disputes and the medical malpractice have increased steadily along with the development of medical technology and increasing use of medical services. Various increased side effects of medical disputes not only affect patients and their families but also negatively affect medical professionals and ultimately threaten the health of the people that it is becoming an important social issue. Although preventive measures are necessary to avoid medical disputes, currently, Korean policies are focused on settling the disputes. Considering the current policies regarding medical disputes, the most enforceable part at this time is analyzing the dispute cases to comprehend the causes and to adopt and practice measures to prevent recurrence. Fur such reasons, we utilized Japan"s Obstetrics Health Compensation Scheme Cause Analysis Committee"s Report and Fundamental Cause Analysis Tool, focusing on cause analysis and recurrence, to provide malpractice analysis tool and have applied to one of the medical litigation sentencing.
