Neurogenic pulmonary edema is a complication after acute neurogenic insults and is classified as an acute and delayed neurogenic pulmonary edema. Delayed neurogenic pulmonary edema has rarely been reported. In a patient with liver cirrhosis, general anesthesia also can cause complications such as multi-organ failure. We present herein a case of delayed neurogenic pulmonary edema after coil embolization in a patient with underlying liver cirrhosis and subarachnoid hemorrhage due to a ruptured aneurysm.
