Abstract
We developed a localized surface plasmon resonance system using plasmonic nanohole arrays to measure the Raman spectra of polystyrene beads. To selectively capture enhanced Raman signals, we employed a surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) system integrated with particle manipulation on an electrode chip. This integration merges nanostructures with metal microelectrodes to evaluate the electrophysiological properties of microparticles. By modulating the frequency of an applied alternating current field, we can control particle movement based on their electrical properties, such as conductivity and permittivity. In our system, this allows for enhanced Raman spectroscopy with increased signal intensity. Real-time measurement of enhanced Raman scattering is achieved by directing the force on individual particles and selectively trapping them on nanostructured surfaces. © 2024 SPIE.
