Abstract
Aging is an ongoing process involving changes in the skin, muscle, bone, fat, and ligaments. This process has been extensively studied, especially by plastic surgeons who have categorized the process into four distinct facial regions that include the upper face, midface, lower face, and neck regions. Approaches to mitigate the aging process encompass surgical options such as facelifts and blepharoplasty, as well as treatments employing energy-based technologies like high-intensity focused ultrasound, radiofrequency devices, and Nd:YAG lasers. Likewise, injecting dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and skin boosters and inserting medical-grade threads under the skin are also frequently used for their antiaging and skin-lifting effects. Persistent facial expressions and muscle contractions exacerbate the aging process. These changes can be addressed by injecting neurotoxins into the medial region depressors and dermal fillers into specific facial areas. In the lower face, aging affects the perioral area, philtrum, lips, and mouth corners. Using tailored injections can provide volume and prevent contraction. In this paper, we present three case reports involving women who underwent a variety of multilevel rejuvenation procedures. We provide before and after images of the women in resting and expressive states to highlight the effectiveness of the treatments.
