Abstract
The Dual-Readout Calorimeter (DRC) is anticipated to deliver excellent performance for measuring the energy of both electromagnetic and hadronic particles by using both scintillation and Cherenkov light signals. The Korea DRC R&D collaboration has constructed two 2.5-meter-long modules using copper plates and two types of optical fibers. These DRC modules were tested with positron beams of momentum ranging from 20 GeV to 125 GeV at the H8 beam line of the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron, using a customized DAQ system with Domino Ring Sampler 4 chips. This paper presents the measured electromagnetic energy linearity and resolution of this DRC. The stochastic and constant term of the DRC energy resolution is measured to be 17.4% and 4% respectively, and the DRC response is linear within Β±2%.
