Purpose: This study presents the current state of school based obesity management of youth in jungle regions of Peru and its implications for strategic development. Originality: The number of youth obesity has been rapidly increased around the world. School-based health management is effective to control youth obesity. Methodology: Data was collected through observation, in-depth interview of students, teachers, and health workers, and expert consultation. State and strategies regarding school-based obesity management was presented by five school health components. Result: This study identified the problems of school-based obesity management such as insufficient evaluation of school health policy, absence of obesity management programs, unsystematic health education, unsanitary and unsafe environment, and lack of parents participation. To overcome these obstaclesand strategically expand school based obesity management, strategies were suggested. Conclusion and Implication: Not only each component of school health intervention, but also integrated intervention should be considered to implement school based obesity management.
