농촌가구의 의료이용도 및 의료비 지출의 몇가지 결정요인에 대한분석 : 경기도 강화군을 중심으로

본 연구는 1975년 10월 27일부터 11월 17일까지 경기도 강화군 4개면 586가구 3037명을 면접조사하여 얻은 자료를 이용하여 농촌 가구의 의료이용도 및 의료비지출을 설명하는 결정요인을 밝히고자 하였다.

선정한 종속변수는 가구의 2주내 약국방문, 병의원방문, 총방문 및 가구의 의료비지출이었다.

선정된 독립변수는 가구의 크기 및 인구 구성, 가구의 이환, 가구의 월소득, 가구주의 특성 및 의료시설 접근시간이었다.

연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.

(1) 가구의 크기 및 인구 구성, 소득, 가구주의 특성 및 의료시설 접근시간만으로 의료이용도 및 의료비지출을 설명한 경우 그 설명도는 2.1%∼4.9%에 지나지 않았으며 가구의 이환을 추가한 경우 그 설명도는 4.1%∼33.8%였다.

(2) 가구의 의료이용도 및 의료비지출은 주로 가구의 이환자구성 및 가구의 월소득에 의하여 설명되었다.

(3) 가구주의 교육정도, 종교, 가구원의 크기 및 평균연령등은 부분적으로 의의있는 설명변수로 선정되었다.

(4) 의료시설 접근시간은 의의가 적었다.

The 587 households in four Myuns in GangWha Gun were interviewed to identify the determinants of health service utilization and health care expenditure in response to illness.

Stepwise multiple regression analysis was used for data analysis.

The dependent variables were the numbers of drug store visits, total visits and the amount of expenditure for health care in curred within the two weeks prior to the interview.

The Independent variables used were family size, demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the family, time required for travel to the health facilitied and morbidity variables.

The results were as follows:

1) Without morbidity variables, all the independent variables could explain the minimal variance of health service utilization and health care expenditure. (2.1%-4.9%)

2) With the addition of morbidity variables, explaind portion of the variance increased markedly. (4.1%-33.8%)

3) Morbidity and family income were the most important and significant variables for explaining four dependent variables.

4) Education and religion of the head of the family, size of the family, and average age of the family members at times appered to be significant for the explanation of the dependent variables.

5) Travle times were not significant for explanation of the four dependent variables.
