의·치과대학생의 의료에 대한 사회-개인지향성과 그 행동성향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 의과대학생들과 치과대학생들이 의료에 대해 갖고 있는 태도와 그에 따른 행동성향을 알아보고자 한 것이다.

따라서 구체적인 연구의 목적은 각 독립변수와 의료에 대한 태도 및 행동성향과의 관계 그리고 태도와 행동성향과의 관계를 분석하는데 있다.

본 연구에서 선정한 독립변수는 대학, 학년, 성, 생활수준, 종교의유무등 5가지 이었다.

조사기간 및 대상은 1981년 10월 1일부터 동년 10월 15일까지 연세대학교 의과대학 과 치과대학(의예과,치의예과 포함)재학생 중에서 예과 2학년, 본과 2학년, 본과 4학년 학생 전원을 대상으로 하였다.

연구결과는 다음과 같다.

1. 전체적으로 태도에 있어서는 개인지향적 태도와 사회적지향적 태도의 중간적인 견해를 표명하고 있었고, 행동성향에 있어서는 개인의 자율성을 강조하는 행동성향을 보이고 있었다.

2. 대학별로 보면 태도에 있어서는 두 대학간에 차이가 없었으나, 행동성향에 있어서는 치과대학생이 의과대학생에 비해 보다 더 개인의 자율성을 강조하는 행동성향을 보임으로서 유의한 차이가 있었다.

3. 학년별로 보면 예과 2학년과 본과 2학년이 다소 사회지향적 태도를 보이는 반면에 본과 4학년은 개인지향적 태도를 보였으며 이 차이는 통계학적으로 유의하였다. 행동성향에 있어서는 학년간에 주목할 만한 차이가 없었다.

4. 성별, 생황수준별, 종교유무별로는 태도와 행동성향 모두 공히 유의한 차이가 없었다.

5. 태도와 행동성향과의 관계에 있어서는 개인지향적 태도를 보이는 집단에서는 개인의 자율성을 강조하는 행동성향을 반영하였고, 사회지향적 태도를 보이는 집단에서는 사회적 형평을 강조하는 행동성향 을 반영하였다.

이상과 같이 태도에 있어서는 학년별로 차이를 보이고. 행동성향에 있어서는 대학별로 차이를 보임으로서 대학과 학년의 두 변수가 다른 여타의 변수보다 태도나 행동성향에 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the attitude and behavior of medical and dental students toward health care .The specific objectives are to identify the relation between attitude, behavior and five independent variables and the relation between attitude and behavior. The independent variables used for this study were types of college, school year, sex, living standard and religion. The attitude was seen in two aspect : society oriented and individual oriented. Two aspects of behavior were observed : individual freedom and social equity.

Sophomores of premedical and predental and sophomores and seniors of medical and dental schools of Yonsei University were selected and questioned with pre-formulated questionnaires from Oct. 1, 1981 to Oct. 15, 1981.

The results of the study are briefly summerized below;

1. In general, the students expressed neutral point of view in society and individual oriented attitude, but in behavior students inclined toward more individual freedom.

2. No significant difference in attitude ofserved by the types of college, but dental students inclined more on individual freedom than that of medical students in behavior.

3. Sophomores expressed more society oriented while seniors did more individual oriented attitude. This difference is statistically significant. In behavior, no significant difference by school year was observed .

4. Sex, living standard and religion showed no significant differences in altitude and behavior .

5. With respect to the relation between attitude and behavior ,individual freedom was stressed core in the individual attitude group and social equity was stressed more in the society oriented attitude group.
