서울시내 일부 남,녀 중.고등학생들의 습관성 약물사용 실태조사

서울특별시에 존재하는 일부 중·고등학생들의 비 마약성 습관성 약물 사용율의 수준을 측정하고 조사대상 학생들의 특성에 따른 6가지 조사 약물의 사용율에 대한 차이를 분석하고자 이 조사를 하였다.

6가지 약물이란 진통제, 신경안정제, 수면제, 각성제, 살 빠지는 약이며, 신경안정제나 수면제의 다량사용 흑은 그외의 약물사용으로 환각의 효과를 얻기위한 약물 사용을 환각제라는 명목으로 조사하였다.

조사대상을 영등포구와 강남구에서 조사가 가능한 학교를 선택하여 추출한 1 ,575명이었으며 1981년 9월 1일 부터 9월 30일에 걸쳐 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 발견하였다.

1. 진통제 사용은 1,575명의 60.6%인 954명이 사용 경험이 있으며 사용 동기는 954명의 41.7%가 부모의 권유였고 34.5%는 자의에 의하여 사용하였다. 그러나 사용후 기분의 변화 혹은 신체의 변화는 60%이상의 학생이 마찬가지라고 하였다. 그리고 진통제 사용은 건

강이 나쁜 학생, 아버지의 교육수준이 비교적 높은 학생, 여학생의 사용율이 비교적 높은 경향이 있었다.

2. 신경안정제 사용은 1,575명의 7.2%인 113명이 사용을 경험하였다. 이 113명의 40.7%가 자의에 의하여 사용하였으며 사용후 기분의 변화나 신체의 변화는 마찬가지라는 학생

이 대부분이었다. 부모와의 관계가 원만치 못한 학생, 성적이 저조한 학생, 건강이 나쁜학생, 여학생이 비교적 많이 사용하는 경향이 있었고 학년이 올라 갈수록 사용율이 높았다.

3. 수면제의 사용은 1,575명의 5.3%인 84명의 학생이 사용 경험이 있었다. 84명의 42.9%가 자의에 의한 사용을 하였으며 사용 이유가 불안해소, 호기심 때문에 사용한 학생이 상당수 있었다. 생활의 여유가 있는 학생, 아버지 교육수준이 비교적 낮은층의 학생의 사용율이 비교적 높은 경향이 있었다.

4. 각성제 사용은 1,575명의 16.7%인 263명이었다. 사용동기는 자의에 의하여 사용한 학생이 55.5%로 가장 많았다. 사용후 신체적 기분의 변화는 50%이상이 마찬가지라고 하였으며 부모와의 관계가 원만치 못한 학생, 건강이 나쁜학생, 여학생의 사용율이 비교적 높았으며 학년이 올라 갈수록 많이 사용하는 경향이 있었다.

5. 살 빠지는 약의 사용은 1,575명의 10%인 16명이었다. 사용동기는 자의에 의한 학생이 37.5%, 친구의 권유에 의한 학생이 31.3%였다. 사용후 기분이나 신체의 변화는 대다수가 마찬가지이거나 나쁘다고 하였다. 그리고 생활의 여유가 있는 가정의 학생이 비교적 많이 사용하는 경향이 있었다.

6. 환각제의 사용은 1,575명의 1.5%인 24명이었다. 24명의 45.8%는 친구의 권유로 사용하였으며 41.7%는 자의에 의하여 사용하였다. 사용 이유는 대부분이 불안해소 호기심, 새로운 즐거움을 맛보기 위하여 사용하였으며 사용후 기분의 변화는 54.2%가 좋다고 하였으나 사용후 신체의 변화는 50.0%가 나쁘다고 하였다. 경제적 여유가 있는 학생, 아버지의 직업이 독립적인 직업인 학생, 건강이 나쁜 학생, 성적이 저조한 학생의 사용이 비교적 많았으며 학년이 올라 갈수록 사용율이 높은 경향이 있었다.

The aim of this research is to know the prevalence rate of the students' habitual drug use and to know the relation-ships between the student's characteristics and drug usage of six different kinds.

The six drugs are non-narcotic analgesics, tranquilizer, Barbiturates, Amphetamines, Diuretics or Cathartics, and a kind of hallucinogen which comes from the over dose of Tranquilizer or Barbiturates.

I chose several availzble school located at Yong Deung Po Ku and Kang Ku and the total number of students by the random sampling of one class in one year amounts to 1,575 students.

The interview survey were carried out from September 1, 1981 to September 30, 1981.

The data were collected by the aid of the teachers who takes charge of the students. They got the result through the interview with by question carefully structured items.

The results obtained are as follows;

1. Among 1,575 students 60.6% of them were found to use non-narcotic ana1gestics and 41.7% of 60.6% began taking drugs through the parents' admonition and 34.5% of them used them of their own accord. But more than 60% of then think their bodies or

conditions do not change because of the druge. And it seems that unhealthy students use drugs more than healthy ones, and girl-students or students with fathers of higher education use them more.

2. Tranquilizer was used by 113 students out of 1,571 students, which aer 7.2% of them, and 40.7% of 113 students began to use the druges without other people's recommendation.

Most of them don't know any difference after they use the drugs.

Students' different use of drugs are deeply related to their relationships with their parents, their schlarly records, their state of helth, sex distindtion, and their school years.

In short, unhealthy students, girl students, senior students have strong tendency of using the drugs more than others.

3. The use of Barbiturates amounts to 84 students of 1,575 students(5.3%). Among the 84 students, 42.9% of them used the durgs of themselves.

Quite a number of students take the drugs on account of curiosity, or their desire of lessening their own anxirty. The result shows that, their present state of economic situation and their fathers' educational level affect the rates of dosing. That is, well-off students with a comfortable living and students with

fathers of low level education use the drugs comparateively more than other students.

4. Amphetamines was used by 263 students of 1,575 students, which was 16.7% of the students. Students. Students who took the drugs of their own accord was 55.5%. of them 50% said that the dosing.

Their structural difference vary according to their relationships with their parents, their state of helth, their sex, and their school years.

5. The rate of use of Diurcetics or Cathartics amounts to 1.0% of 1.575 students.

The number of the students were oniy 16 students. of them, 37.5% said that they began using the drugs of their own will and 31.3% if them began by their friends' recommendation,

Many of then said that were same as before, but some of said that they became worse after using the druge.

Above all, their use of the durg largely depends on their state of economic situation.

6. Among the total 1,575 students 24 students (1.5%) got an effect of so0called hallucinogens by over dose of Tranquilzer or their friends' recommendations, and 41.7% used the drugs of their own will.

The reason they take the drugs were mostly from curiosity, their desire to satiate a new excitement or to lessen their anxiety.

54.2% of them expressed their good feelings, and 50.0% said that their feelings were bad.

The result show that they used the durgs according to their economic state, their school records, their state of health, their fathers' educational levels, their school year.

That is, well-off students, students of bad records, unhealthy students, students with fathers' independent jobs, and senior students use drugs more than any other students.
