정상교합을 가진 한국인 영구치열에 있어서의 치아크기와 악궁형태에 관한 연구

이 연구는 만 14세 이상의 한국인의 정상교합 상태에서 영구치열의 치아의 크기 및 악

궁형태의 크기를 측정하여 임상교정에 필요한 치아크기와 악궁형태의 관련성을 분석하였

다.

이 연구에서 분석한 자료는 1972년부터 1976년까지 연세대학교 신입생 및 서울시내 남

녀 중 고등학교의 구강검진 시에 채득한 600개의 경석고모형을 이용하여 영구치열의 치아

의 크기 및 악궁형태의 크기를 측정하였다.

연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.

1) 치관의 근원심 폭경의 평균값은 남성 및 여성에서상악의 제1소구치를 제외하고는 우

측치아가 좌측치아보다 컸으며, 하악에서는 남성에 있어서 중절치와 제 1소구치, 여성에

있어서는 중절치를 제외하고 남녀 모두 좌측치아가 우측치아 보다 컸다.

2) 남녀간 치관의 근원심 폭경의 평균값은 상악 및 하악의 좌우측에서 남성의 평균값이

여성의 평균값보다 컸다.

3) 치관의 근원심 폭경의 상아고가 하악 총화의 비는 남성에서는 91.97% 여성에서는 91

.98% 였다.

4) 치관의 근원심 폭경의 상악과 하악의 6전치부 총화의 비는 남성이 78.07% 여성이 77

.57%로 남성이 여성보다 높았다.

5) 제 1 대구치간 폭경의 평균값은 상악에서는 남성이 50.03mm 였고 여성은 48.53mm 였

으며 하악에서는 남성이 43.81mm 여성은 42.67mm였다.

6) 견치간 폭경의 평균값은 상악에서 남성이 36.07mm 였고 여성이 35.01mm 였으며 하악

에서는 나성이 27.35mm 였고 여성이 26.68mm 였다.

7) 전반부 구개폭경의 평균값은 남성이 26.79mm 였으며 여성이 25.87mm 였고 후반부 구

개폭경의 평균값은 남성이 38.59mm 였고 여성이 37.51mm 였다.

8) 구개고경의 평균값은 남성이 15.9mm 였고 여성이 15.8mm 였다.

9) 악궁길이의 평균값은 남성이 34.19mm 였고 여성은 33.32mm 였다.

10) 치관의 근원심 폭경의 총화와 선형 상관관계가 있었던 측정변수는 상악과 하악에서

견치간 폭경(γ = 0.63347, P < 0.01) 과 악궁길이 (γ = 0.57496, P < 0.01) 였다.

An analysis of permanent mesiodistal crown size and the shape of dental arch in

normal occlusion of Korean

The purpose of this study is to calculate the mesiodistal crown size and palatal

from of Korean people's normal occlusion, which is vital in orthodontic diagnosis

and treatment planning.

The following study results are the statistics on the tooth size and the palatal

form of the Korean people who have normal occlusion.

To have the above statistics, the writer analyzed the casts of 271 male students

and 329 female students of normal occlusion, who were carefully selected among

60,000 students in Seoul from clinical obsevation at the college of Dntistry,

Yonsei Medical center from 1972through 1976.

1. The mean of the mesio-distal crown diameter for both males and females shows

that the right ones are greater than the left ones except for the 1st premolar in

cases of maxillary. The left teeth of mandibular are greater than the right ones

except for the central incisor and 1st premolar in male, while only for the central

incisor in female.

2. The mean of the mesio-distal crown diameter of male is always greater than

female.

3. The over-all ratio summarize the relationship between the maxillary and

mandibular tooth dimensions. Thus the degree of over-all retio averaged 91.97% in

males and 91.98% in female.

4. The anterior ratio summarize the relationship between the maxillary and

mandibular tooth dimensions. Thus the degree of anterior ratio averaged 78.07% in

male and 77.57% in female. Anterior ratio are greater in males than in females.

5. For males, the mean arch dimensions of 6-6 were 50.03mm in the maxillary and

43.81 mm in the mandibular, For females, the mean arch dimensions of 6-6 were 48.53

mm in the maxillary and 42.67 mm in the mandibular.

6. The mean arch dimensions of 3-3 for the maxillary were 36.07 mm in males and

35.01 mm in females. The mean arch dimensions of 3-3 for the mandibular were 27.35

mm in male and 26.68 mm in female.

7. The mean anterior palatal width were 26.79 mm in males and 25.87 mm in

females. The mean posterior palatal width were 38.59 mm in males and 37.51 mm in

females.

8. The mean of the palatal height were 15.9 mm in males and 15.8 mm in females.

9. The degree of arch length averaged 34.19 mm in meles and 33.32 mm in females.

10. The factor of correlation coefficients was found only between the sum of

mesio-distal crown diameter and the intercanine width (r=0.633, p<0.01) & arch

length (r=0.574, p<0.01).
