저자는 치과임상에서 발치와의 치유와 보철 시술전 치조골 재생에 Gelfoam 이 골손상

치유 및 신생골 재생에 미치는 영향에 관하여 관심을 갖고 백서 24마리를 이용하여 대조

군과 실험군으로 구분하고 백서 하악골 골체부에 손상을 낸 후 실험군을 500mg 염산테트

라싸이클린 용액에 적신 Gelfoam편을 삽입하여 실험 후 1주, 2주, 3주, 4주후의 소견을

관찰한 바 다음과 같은 유의한 결론을 얻었다.

1. 대조군은 급만성 염증세포의 침윤이 1주에만 뚜렷하였으며 2주부터는 감소되는 경향

을 보였고 1주 및 2주에서 섬유아세포의 증식에 의하여 결손된 부위가 메워지기 시작하였

다.

2. 대조군에서 새로운 골조직의 형성은 2주부터 관찰되기 시작하였으며 4주에는 결손된

부위가 완전한 신생골을 볼 수 있었다.

3. 실험군은 결손된 부위의 염증세포침윤과 괴사된 골조직 및 이물질에 의한 반응이 1

주에만 관찰되었다.

4. 결손된 부위의 신생골 형성은 2주부터 관찰되어 4주에는 완전히 대치됨으로써 대조

군과 유사한 소견을 보였다.

5. 골막골형성은 대조군 및 전기간을 통하여 관찰되었다.

6. 실험군은 염��소견 및 신생골 형성에 의한 치유과정이 대조군과 유사하여 실제 임상

에 Gelfoam을 염산 테트라싸이클린과 병용함을 권장할 수 있겠다.





A STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF TETRACYCLINE HCL, TREATED GELFOAM PREPARATION ON THE

HEALING OF EXPERIMENTAL BONE DEFECT OF RATS

This study was undertaken to evaluate the effects of Tetracycline Hcl solution

treated on the healing process of rat's mandibular bony defacets.

24 rats, sprague dawley strain, weighing about 400gm, were used, devided into

control group (4 rats) and experimental group(20 rats)

Six rats were sacrificed every one week serially for four weeks and prepared

microscopic slides with Hematoxylin-Eosin stain for pathological examination.

The obtained results from this study were as follows.

1. Marked acute and chronic inflammatory cell infiltration was found in first

week control group and it showed decreasing thendency in second week control group.

Bony defects were filled with young fibroflasts proliferation in first and second

week control groups.

2. New bone formation was found in the second week control group and bony defects

were filled with osseous tissue in fourth week control group.

3. infiltration of Inflammatory cells, necrotic bone tissue and foreignbody

reactin were noted only in first experimental group.

4. New bone formation was noted in second week experimental group and bony

defects were replaced with new bone formation complately by fourth week

experimental group which was very similar to the control group.

5. Periosteal bone formation was noted in all phases of control and experimental

group.

6. In experimental groups, the inflammatory reaction and new bone formation were

very similar to control groups, thus it may give advise of using Tetracyclin Hcl

treated Gelfoam in routine clinical practice.
