Abstract
This study is a descriptive correlation study to suggest a developmental basis of coaching program and a human resources development/maintenance strategy as this study analyzes a knowledge and behavior level about coaching based on a preceptor nurse and it considers an education demand. The subject is 284 nurses, which are educated and have an experience between one time to five times under preceptor system in ''A'' general hospital, Seoul. Data collection is carried out by a survey from April 28th to May 10th. Coaching knowledge evaluation method by Hong-mi, Kim(2008) is used as research tool. For measuring a coaching behavior level based on a personal relations test by Wittenberg and Reis(1998), a coaching behavior level measurement revised by Bong-ho(2008), Kim is used. Moreover, an education demand measurement by Bong-ho, Kim(2008) is used for measuring education demand of coaching. This collected data is conducted through descriptive statistics using by SPSS WIN 18.0 program, T-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, and Pearson''s Correlation Coefficient.
