한국 대학생의 콘돔사용 설명모형

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 콘돔사용에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 규명하고, 이들 요인들간의 관계를 중심으로 구조모형을 구축하여 대학생들의 콘돔사용에 영향을 미치는 요인들간의 관계를 통합적으로 설명하기 위함이다. 가설적 모형은 파트너지지, 동료영향, 사회 망의 3개의 외생 변인들과 성교 전 음주, 위험지각, 콘돔사용 태도, 콘돔사용 자기효능감, 콘돔사용 의도 및 콘돔사용의 6개의 내생변인들로 구성되었다.

자료수집은 2001년 3월 5일부터 2001년 4월 28일까지 전국 27개 대학의 남·녀 대학생을 대상으로 자가보고식 설문지를 이용하여 수집되었고 최종분석에 이용된 자료는 지난 1년 동안 성 경험이 있다고 응답한 총 631부이었다. 대상자의 인구·사회학적 특성 및 연구변수에 대한 서술적 통계와 상관관계 분석은 SPSS 10.0 프로그램을 이용하였으며, 가설적 모형의 검증은 AMOS 4.0을 이용하였다.

가설적 모형의 검증결과 수정이 필요하였고, 수정과정을 거쳐 채택된 콘돔사용 설명모형은 자료와 잘 부합하였다. 본 연구 결과 한국 대학생들의 콘돔사용에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 콘돔사용 자기효능감, 콘돔사용 의도, 콘돔사용 태도, 파트너 지지, 동료 영향이었고, 이 중 콘돔사용에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 콘돔사용 자기효능감이었다. 이들 예측변인들의 콘돔사용 설명력은 63%이었다.

연구결과에 비추어볼 때 콘돔사용 증진을 위한 프로그램의 효과를 최대화하기 위해서는 본 연구에서 밝혀진 콘돔사용에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 관한 내용, 특히 콘돔사용 자기효능감을 높일 수 있는 내용이 포함되어져야 한다. 또한 성 파트너와 동료는 콘돔사용에

중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌으므로 간호중재는 개인적 차원뿐만 아니라 파트너와의 관계와 동료 및 사회 망의 맥락을 고려한 다양한 차원에서 활성화될 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to identify predictors of condom use and to develop an explanatory model of condom use among college students in Korea. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires between March 5 and April 28, 2001. Participants of this study were 631 sexually active college

students aged 17 to 30 years old.

The descriptive and correlation statistics were performed using SPSS for Windows 10.0. And the confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling procedure were performed with AMOS 4.0. SEM(Structural Equation Modeling) analysis revealed that the belief in one's own ability to use a condom effectively, or self-efficacy, is the strongest predictor of condom use in this sample. Peer influence, condom use attitude, partner support,

and intention were also significantly related with condom use. Overall the model accounted for 63% of the variance in condom use.

These results suggest that nursing interventions for condom use promotion should focus on the variables influencing on condom use. Interventions at various levels, such as individual, dyadic, peer group, and social network, are needed for effective nursing education programs.
