후구개 경계폐쇄 형태가 의치 유지력에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Abstract

저자는 전신적으로 비교적 건강하고 무치악인 보철환자 6명을 대상으로, 기존 4가지 형태의 후구개 경계폐쇄와 저자가 고안 설계한 폐쇄형태간의 유지력을 상호 비교관찰하였다.

후구개 폐쇄형태를 부여하지 않은 의치상을 대조군으로 하고 통법에 의해 5가지 폐쇄형태로 제작한 의치상을 각 연구상대의 구강내에 시적한 후 cantilever type load cell을 이용하여 각 형태별로 6회씩 유지력을 측정 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.

1. 후구개 경계폐쇄의 형태 및 위치변화는 의치유지력에 영향을 미친다.

2. 어느 특정한 후구개 경계폐쇄의 형태도 모든 연구대상에 있어서 절대적으로 우수한 효과는 없었다.

3. 연구대상 Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅳ에서 모든 type 의 후구개 경계폐쇄가 대조군보다 높은 유지력을 보였다.

4. 연구대상 Ⅱ,Ⅴ에서는 C type이, 연구대상 Ⅲ,Ⅵ, 에서는 F type이 가장높은 유지력을 보였다.

5. 각 연구대상에서 F type이 대조군보다 높은 유지력을 보였다.

The effects between preexisting four types and one that author had designed of posterior palatal seal on the retention of denture base were compared and observed from six systemically healthy edentulous subjects.

Using one without posterior palatal seal as the control, the retention of each type was measured and analyzed six times with cantilever type load cell after adaptation of denture base, which were constructed with usual manner.

The following results wear obtained.

1. Morphological and positional changes of posterior palatal seal effected on denture retention.

2. No specific type showed most desirable effect in every experimental subject.

3. Experimental subject Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅵ showed higher retention on the contrl in every type.

4. In five types of posterior palatal seal, for subject Ⅲ,Ⅵ Ｆ types and for subject Ⅱ,Ⅴ Ｃ types were most effective.

5. In each experimental subject Ｆ type showed higher retention than the control.
