간호학생의 임상실습에 대한 임상간호원의 태도조사 연구

본 연구는 임상교육발전과 간호학생에게 보다 좋은 임상학습환경을 제공하기 위해 교육병원내에 근무하는 간호원의 학생 임상실습에 대한 태도를 조사 연구하기 위하여 시도되었다.

연구대상은 1976년 10월 1일 현재 Y대학교 의과대학 부속 S병원에 근무하고 있는 전체 간호원 306명을 모집단으로 하여 단순임의 추출방법에 의하여 100명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법으로는 저자가 작성한 질문지를 사용하여 대상자의 근무시간 특이성에 따라 수회

에 걸쳐 집합조사 방법을 이용하였고 결과는 백분율과 χ^^2-test등으로 처리하였다.

연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.

1. 임상교육의 목적 및 실습내용 인식도

a. 간호원의 99%가 학생의 임상교육목적을 알고 있었으며 51%가 학생이 현재 교육목적에 부합되는 실습을 하고 있다고 반응하였다.

b. 간호원은 학생의 실습내용이 주로 학구적이며 교육적이라고 243%가 반응하였다.

c. 간호원은 학생의 임상실습에 병행되는 과제의 내용을 65%가 파악하고 있었으며 그중 41%는 과제의 내용이 바람직하다고 반응하였다.

2. 임상실습에 임하는 학생에 대한 간호원의 기대

a. 간호원은 학생이 간호원을 선배로서 대해 주기를 원하는 응답자가 72%로 수위를 차지하였다.

b. 간호원은 실습에 임하는 학생의 태도에 대해 81%가 실습에 흥미있고 성의있는 태도를 기대한다고 반응하였다.

c. 임상실습에 임하는 학생의 태도는 비교적 진지하고 정중한 태도였다고 86%가 반응하였다.

d. 학생의 임상실습은 교육목적과 병동에 도움을 줄 수 있도록 절충하여 계획하는 것이 바람직하다고 75%가 반응하였다.

3. 임상교육방법에 대한 반응

a. 간호원은 68%가 직접 임상실습지도에 참여하기를 원하였다.

b. 학생의 학습계획안 수간호원과 임상강사가 함께 계획 작성하는 것이 바람직하다. 53%가 반응하여 수위를 차지하였다.

c. 학습계획안 작성시 학생에게 할당되는 환자의 선택기준은 이론적으로 배운 범위내에서 보다는 포괄적인 실습을 할 수 있도록 광범위하게 선택하는 것이 바람직하다고 66%가 반응하였다.

d. 한 학생에게 할당되는 환자의 수는 학생의 능력과 환자상태에 따라 다르겠으나 3-4명이 적당하다고 58%가 반응하였다.

e. 학생의 임상과제를 알고 지도하기를 원하는 응답율은 45%였다.

f. 한 병동에 실습나오는 학생수는 5명 이하가 바람직하다고 88%가 반응하였다.

4. 임상실습시기 및 시간

a. 학생의 임상실습 시작시기는 3학년 1학기부터 하는 것이 바람직하다고 50%가 반응하였다.

b. 학생의 오후 (오후 1시부터 9시) 실습은 경험하는 것이 좋다고 87%가 반응하였다.

c. 학생의 야간실습은 66%가 경험하는 것이 좋다고 반응하였다.

5. 임상실습 평가

a. 학생의 임상실습평가는 수간호원, 임상지도교수, 일반간호원이 함께 해야 한다는 것에 44%가 반응하였으며 수간호원 단독이나 임상지도 교수단독에 의한 평가에는 거의 찬성하지 않았다.

b. 평가 후 학생과 면담하는 것에 대해서는 88%가 바람직하다고 반응하였다.

6. 임상실습과정에서 발생하는 문제점

a. 간호원은 학생의 실습을 도와주는데 어려웠던 점으로 주어진 업무과다로 인한 시간 부족이 45%로 수위를 차지하였다.

b. 간호원은 근무하는 동안 학생 임상실습에 책임을 느낀다고 46%가 반응하였다.

c. 간호원은 실습상의 문제로 학생과 개인접촉을 한 응답자가 58%였으며 그들은 70%가 학생에게 도움이 되고 있다고 반응하였다.

결론적으로 간호원은 현재 간호학생의 임상실습지도에 참여하기를 원하고 있었으며 동시에 많은 관심을 가지고 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 학생의 임상실습에 대해 긍정적인 반응을 나타내었다.

[영문]

The purpose of this study was to find out the clinical nurses attitude for nursing students clinical performance and develop a better clinical environment for nursing students.

The study population selected randomly was among all the nurses (306) who are working in Y. hospital on the date of 1st October 1976.

Questionnaire was used by the nurses during duty hour with a group of them. X**2-test and percentage rate were employed in analyzing the data.

The findings could be summerized as follows,

1. Recognizing level for the objectives and content of nursing students clinical performance.

a. 99% of the respondents answered that they know what is the purpose of nursing students clinical performance and 51% of them admitted the nursing students clinical performance fulfill the objectives.

b. 23% of the respondents showed that they feel the content of the nursing students clinical performance are theoretical and educational.

c. 65% of the respondents answered that they understood the students assignment and the assignment itself was well presented.

2. The expectation of the nursing students clinical performance.

a. 72% of the respondents, the majority, expected to be treated as the students senior.

b. 81% of the respondents answered that they expect the students to be interested and have a loyal attitude during the clinical performance.

c. 81% of the respondents answered they felt the nursing students attitudes were sincere and loyal.

d. 75% of the respondents wanted the nursing students clinical performance to fulfill the educational objectives and the clinical field needs.

3. Responses about the method of clinical performance.

a. 68% of the respondents wanted to participate in the nursing students clinical performance.

b. 53% of the respondents answered that the assignment must be planned by the head nurse and clinical instructors together.

c. 66% of the respondents responded that the assignment should be given a comprehensive basis rather than a theoretical one.

d. The number of assigned patient might vary, but three or four patients could be in ideal number for each student.

e. 45% of the respondents wanted to know about the curriculum to help the students clinical performance.

f. They said five students on a ward at the same time might be satisfactory.

4. Commencing term of nursing students clinical performance.

a. Half of the respondents answered to commence the clinical performance for nursing students from 1st trimester of Junior might be proper.

b. 87% of the respondents thought it would be good to give the evening duty performance to the students.

c. 66% of the respondents stated the night duty performance for nursing students might be helpful.

5. The method of nursing students clinical evaluation.

a. 44% of the respondents agreed that the evaluation must be done by the head nurse, the clinical instructor and the staff nurses together.

b. 88% of the respondents showed that the interview must be done with the student after each evaluation period.

6. Some problems might be confronted on the nursing students clinical performance.

a. The main problem in instructing the nursing students was lack of time.

b. 46% of the respondents felt they had the responsibility to help the nursing students in their clincial performance.

c. 58% of the respondents had the performance of discussion with the nursing students about their clinical performance and 70% of the 58% belived it was helpful for the students.

In Conclusion

I found that must of the clinical nurses hoped to participate in the nursing students clinical performance and are givening much attention to the nursing students.

They showed positive responses to the nursing students clinical performance.
