Abstract
[한글]

[영문]The aim of this study was to evaluate of the effect of calcium-phosphate coating by ion beam-assisted deposition (IBAD) method to SLA surface and anodized surface. We also evaluated the effect of heating the coating to different temperatures. Four male mongrel dogs were used. Titanium implants were divided according to their surface. The control group A was implants with an SLA surface only. Experimental group 1 had an SLA surface and CaP coating applied by IBAD after 350 ˚C heat treatment of the coating layer. Experimental group 2 had an SLA surface and CaP coating applied by IBAD after 450 ˚C heat treatment of the coating layer. The control group B had an anodized surface only. Experimental group 3 had an anodized surface and CaP coating applied by IBAD after 350 ˚C heat treatment. Experimental group 4 had an SLA surface with anodizing, CaP coating after 350˚C heat treatment. The mandibular premolars (P2, P3, P4) were carefully extracted under sterile conditions. The implants (Implantium®, Dentium, Seoul, Korea) were placed after a healing period of 8 weeks and self-contained coronal defect were surgically created around the implants. The dogs were sacrificed after 12 weeks. Histologic and histomorphometric analysis were performed. Experimental groups 1and 2 exhibited higher mean BIC (%) and BD(%) than the control group A. Experimental group 3 showed higher BIC(%) than the control and experimental group 4, and higher BD(%) than the experimental group 4. Experimental group 4 showed lower BIC (%) than experimental 3, and lower BD (%) than the control and experimental group3. The CaP coated SLA implants and CaP coated anodized implants exhibited good osseointegration in the self-contained coronal defect. Implants with the combined SLA, anodized, and CaP coated surface seemed to be less consistent in achieving osseointegration because of an offset effect of their advantages. There was no difference in the healing capacity between 350 ˚C and 450 ˚C heat treatment of coating layer.
