일 산촌 지역의 알코올 사용 행태 변화

본 연구는 1998년과 2004년 두 번에 걸친 일 산촌 지역의 조사를 통하여 6년 동안의 알코올 행태 변화와 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대하여 알아보고자 한 것이다. 1차 조사한 480명의 남자들 중에서 비 문제 음주자라고 정의한 116명과 문제 음주자라고 정의한 116명을 무작위 추출하여, 사회 인구학적 기초자료, 알코올 관련 기초 자료 수집 및 알코올 효과 평가표(AEQ), 알코올 의존 심각도 검사(SADQ), 음주 절제 척도(DRS)를 사용하여 대상군의 특성을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 대상군의 음주량과 음주 빈도는 연령이 증가 할수록 감소하는 경향을 보였고 60~70대에 술을 끊게 되는 비율이 증가하였다. 그 중에서 지속적으로 문제 음주를 지속하는 군(이하 지속 문제 음주 군)은 6년 동안 음주량이나 음주 빈도는 크게 변화하지 않았고, 더 이상 문제 음주를 지속하지 않는 군(이하 비 문제 음주화 군)과 비교하였을 때 6년 전 음주량이 유의하게 많았으며, 음주의 부정적인 결과들에 대한 인식이 적은 경향을 보였으며, 해장술 욕구가 유의하게 높았다. 결론적으로 이러한 문제 음주행태의 지속에는 과거의 과량 음주, 중독성 경향이 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 생각되었다. 하지만 이 연구는 일 산촌 지역의 남자들만을 대상으로 하였고, 대상군의 평균 연령이 60세 이상이며, 그 표본 수가 적어서 제한점이 있다.

[영문]We studied the changes of alcohol use behavior and attributing factors through two interviews conducted between a 6 years span at 1998 and 2004. We selected 116 problem drinkers and 116 non-problem drinkers among previously studied 480 men. We used basic epidemiologic informations, alcohol behavior questionnaire, AEQ(Alcohol Effects Questionnaire), SADQ(Severity of Alcohol Dependence Questionnaire), DRS(Drinking Restraint Scale) and so on. Results of alcohol behavior changes was mostly a decline of alcohol consumption and frequency by age, but continuously problem drinkers is exhibited no change in their alcohol related problems. We guessed that these observations resulted from their addictive pattern and decreased awareness of alcohol''s negative consequences. However this study had some limitations ; Our sample only consisted of the male gender, and their average age was greater than the general population. Further study is required.
