임시합착 cement가 영구합착 cement의 변연누출에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 국내에서 사용되고 있는 치과용 cement 중 임시합착용으로는 Zine oxide-eugenol, Non-eugenol 및 Calcium hydroxide cements등 3종을, 영구합착용으로는 Zinc phosphate, Polycarboxylate, Alumina reinforced EBA cements 등 3종을 선택하였다.

120개 치아 교합면에 금속시편을 임시합착하고, 1주 후 영구합착하여 0.9% 생리 식염수, 0.001M Citric acid용액(PH 4) 그리고 2% Methylene blue 염색용액에 각기 24시간씩 보관한후 색소침투를 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.

1. Calcium hydroxide cement로 임시합착한 경우 다른 임시합착 cement에서보다 변연누출이 많이 나타났다.

2. Polycarboxylate cement에서는 임시합착 cement 종류에 관계없이 변연누출이 적게 나타났다.

3. Zinc phosphate cement와 Alumina reinforced EBA cement는 모든 종류의 임시합착 cement와 관계없이 변연누출이 비슷하게 나타났다.



[영문]

This study was designed to observe the marginal leakage of three permanent cements affected by three temporary cements. The temporary cements used in this study were Zinc oxide-eugenol, Non-eugenol, and Calcium hydroxide cements and the permanent cements were Zinc phosphate, Polycarboxylate and Alumina reinforced EBA cements.

To measure the dye penetration into permanently cemented zone, the experimental specimens were treated with the temporary cements for a week.

An analysis of the data obtained from 120 specimens resulted in the following conclusions:

1. Regardless of the types of the permanent cements used, using Calcium hydroxide cements as temporary cement showed higher marginal leakage than other temporary cements.

2. Using Polycarboxylate cement as permanent cement showed less marginal leakage than other permanent cements.

3. The marginal leakage in Zinc phosphate cement was similar to Alumina reinforced EBA cement regardless of the types of the temporary cements.
