제 2대구치 및 제 3대구치 발육에 따른 연령감정에 관한 연구

Abstract
[한글] 저자는 법치학적 연령 감정 실무를 시행함에 있어 제 2 대구치, 제 3 대구치 발육에 따른 단독적인 기준보다는 제 2 대구치, 제 3 대구치간의 발육 정도를 비교 조사하여 실제 연령과의 상관관계를 밝힘으로서 연령 감정 응용에 활용하고자 연구를 하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 제 2 대구치, 제 3 대구치 모두 발육과 연령간에는 높은 상관성을 나타내었다. 2. 제 2 대구치, 제 3 대구치 모두 좌우측 발육간에는 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. (p>0.05) 3. 제 2 대구치는 하악이 상악보다 비교적 빠른 발육을 나타내며 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. (p< 0.05) 4. 제 3 대구치는 상악이 하악보다 비교적 빠른 발육을 나타내며 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. (P<0.05) 5. 제 2 대구치, 제 3 대구치 모두 여자가 남자보다 빠른 발육을 나타내며 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. (p<0.001) 6. 제 2, 3 대구치 발육에 따른 연령 추정에 있어서 다음의 회귀방정식을 구하였다. 제 2 대구치 : 남자 상악 : Y=1.3927X + 0.2213(r= 0.72) 하악 : Y=1.4132X + 0.0012(r=0.78) 여자 상악 : Y=1.4914X + 0.2151(r=0.73) 하악 : Y=1.5429X - 0.0911(r=0.78) 제 3 대구치: 남자 상악 : Y= 1.1892X + 7.0621(r=0.68) 하악 : Y=1.2013X + 6.7132(r=0.72) 여자 상악 : Y= 1.1943X + 7.6952(r= 0.69) 하악 : Y= 1.2564X + 7.5942(r=0..73) (Y : 추정 연령, X :발육정도) (모든 경우에서 P< 0.001을 보임 ) 7. 제 2 대구치, 제 3 대구치의 발육이 동시에 나타나는 경우에 제 2 대구치를 기준으로 하는 경우가 제 3 대구치를 기준으로 하는 경우보다 연령 추정에 있어서 비교적 높은 상관도를 보였다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 제 2 대구치, 제 3 대구치의 발육이 동시에 나타나는 경우에는 제 2 대구치를 기준으로 연령 추정을 시행하는 것이 보다 정확한 감정을 유도할 수 있고 제 2 대구치 발육이 끝나는 약 15세 이후의 발육기에서의 연령 감정은 제 3 대구치 를 기준으로 하여도 비교적 높은 정확도의 연령감정을 시행할 수 있는 것으로 결론을 내릴 수 있다. A STUDY OF CORRELATION BETWEEN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE THIRD MOLAR AND SECOND MOLAR AS AN AID IN AGE DETERMINATION Jong Hoon Choi, D .D .S. Department of Dental Science, Graduate School, Yonsei University (Directed by Professor, Chong Youl Kim, D.D.s., M.S.D., Ph.D.) This study was undertaken to obtain the data for age determination following the calcification degree of the second molar, third molar in the point of forensic odontology. The intraoral panoramic radiograph of 1600 male and 1600 female (100 persons each age) ranging from 7 to 22 years of age were studied. The developmental state of the second molar and third molar were divided into 12 stages following the calcification degree and correlation of second molar developmental stage and statistically analyzed. The results were as follows; 1 . There was remarkable correlation between the development of the second molar, the third molar and age. 2. There was no significant developmental differences between the right and left second molar, third molar. (p > 0.05) 3. The developmental stages of the lower second molar was more advanced than those of upper second molar. (p < 0.05) 4. The developmental stages of the upper third molar was more advanced than those of lower third molar. (p < 0.05) 5. Both the developmental stages of second, third molars were earlier in the female than in the male. (p < 0.001) 6. For the purpose of age estimation according to developmental stages of the second, third molar, linear equations are as follows. (p < 0.001) second molar: male upper : Y = 1.3927X + 0.2213 (r=0.72) lower : Y =1.4132X + 0.0012 (r=0.78) female upper : Y = 1.4914X + 0.2151 (r=0.73) lower : Y = 1.5429X - 0.0911 (r=0.78) third molar : male upper : Y = l.1892X + 7.0621 (r=0.68) lower : Y= 1.2013X + 6.7132 (r=0.72) female upper : Y = 1.1943X + 7.6952 (r=0.69) lower : Y= 1.2564X + 7.5942 (r=0.73) (Y :age, X : developmental stage) 7. When there the development of second and third molars at the same time, we could see more correlation by the use of second molar as a guidance of age estimation. In view of the results metioned above, it can be conceived that the developmental stages of the lower second molars can be used as a useful guidance in the age estimation in the individuals under fifteen years old. After the development of second molar finished, third molar can be used as a useful guidance in the age estimation.
