한국인 청소년의 미모형태에 관한 고찰

미모는 많은 털로 덥히고 근육섬유에 의해 유지되는 피부의 주름으로 형태학적으로는 머리가죽의 일부분이다.

미모형태는 인종에따라 다를 수 있으나 동양인중에서 일본인에 관한 여러학자들의 보고가 있으나 한국인 미모형태에 관하여서는 이렇다할 관찰 보고가 없어 13 ∼ 15세사이의 남녀 중학생 586명을 임의로 선정하여 미모형태, 미모길이, 미모간의 거리, 미모머리부분의 넓이, 몸체부분의 넓이등을 측정한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.

1. 미모형태는 제 Ⅰ형이 63.3%로 가장 많았으며 다음은 제 Ⅱ형( 12.6%), 제 Ⅳ형 (12.1%), 제 Ⅴ형 (6.2%)과 제 Ⅲ형 (5.8%)의 순이었다.

2, 미모방향은 수평 (70.3%), 내경 (19.5%), 외경 (10.2%)의 순이었고 미모농도는 중 (68.8%), 다(24.6%), 소(6.6%)의 순이었으며, 미모위치는 중위 (95.6%), 상위 (4.4%)였고 하위는 한명도 없었다.

3. 미모길이는 평균 48.2mm였으며 남자에 있어서 평균 2mm 더 길었다.

미모머리부분의 넓이는 평균 9.7mm였고 몸체부분의 넓이는 평균 12.7mm였다.

4. 검열방향은 수평눈(86,2%), 상향눈(13.7%), 하향눈(0.2%)의 순이었다.

The eyebrows are folds of thick skin supported by muscle fibers and covered tilth halers. They are cranial appendages rather than facial, and should be considered morphologically as a part of the scalp.

The shape of eyebrows may be different and variable in accordance with the races. The shape of Korean eyebrows have not teen reported, while many reports have been issued in Japan.

The eyebrows of 586 Korean boys and girls ranging from age 13 to 15 were observed morphologicaIly.

The following results were obtained.

1. In the shape of eyebrows, type Ⅰ was most common(63.3) and followed by type Ⅱ(12.6%) and type Ⅳ(12.1%).

2. In the direction of eyebrows, 70.3% was horizontal, 19.5% nasally tilted and 10.2% temporally tilted.

In the density of eyebrows, 68.8% was middle, 24.6% high and 6.6% low.

In the level of eyebrows, 95.6% was muddle and 4.4% high.

3. The average length of eyebrows was 48.2mm and it was longer in man than in woman by 2mm.

The average width of the head of the eyebrows was 9.7mm whereas that of the body was 12.7mm.

4. The 86.2% of palpebral fissure was horizontal, 13.7% superiorly oblique and 0.2% inferiorly oblique.
