Abstract
The microtiter plate-format optodes prepared by casting bulk-response membranes into the standard 96-well polystyrene-based plate. An optimized composition of optode membranes gave reproducible and sensitive absorbance changes in the varying concentration of iron and nickel, respectively; Poly(vinylchloride) (PVC)
as matrix, Bis(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (DOA) as plsticizer, potassium tetrakis(4-chlorophenyl)borate (KTpClPB) as lipophilic additive and chromoionophores. Two chromoionophores of 1,10-phenanthroline (for Fe2+) and F430 model compound (for Ni2+) were employed. The practical utility of microtiter plate-format optodes was examined with lab-waste solution
