- 초고속 인터넷 기술과 무선 통신망의 발달로 다양한 데이터(video, audio 및 biological data)들을 지원할 수 있는 멀티미디어 시스템의 구현이 가능해짐에 따라 환자의 상태나 요구에 맞추어 효과적인 진료 및 질병 예방을 가능할 수 있게 되었다. U-healthcare 시스템이란 무선 인터넷과 단말기를 생체 계측기와 융합시켜 시간적, 공간적인, 계측장치 제약 없이 환자의 질병관리가 가능한 시스템을 말한다
