dc.description.abstractIn this chapter, we will discuss the diagnosis and treatment method of myofascial pain syndrome(MPS) associated with head and neck pain. There are some kinds of tools for treatment of MPS such as muscle relaxation, injection, stretching and spray etc. Patients with chronic tension type headache can be considered to have chronic MPS in frontalis, temporalis, sternocleidomastoid muscle, trapezius and splenius muscles and have sometimes occipital neuralgia. So physician need approach and do a physical examination about all the muscles involved in head and neck pain. Injection methods frequently have used for treatment of MPS. Physical examination, preparation, injection with palpation and post-injection manipulation(relaxation and stretching) must be applied in all MPS-
