There are several crucial obstacles to change such as user resistance and the time it takes to type data. So there is a significant need for an easy and user-friendly migration tool toward EMR. The purpose of this study was to develop a digital pen solution to support electronic medical recording. A digital pen is not only good for saving images quickly but also useful in digitalizing text by applying a text recognition engine. Therefore, we expect the digital pen solution to be the most helpful and easiest migration tool in the successful adaptation of EMR. © 2006 The authors and IOS Press. All rights reserved.-
