Aging is associated with volume loss in the temporal fat pad and lateral cheek fat, leading to sunken temples and increased facial sagging. This study explores the efficacy of a polycaprolactone (PCL)-based filler (Lafullen, Samyang, Seoul, Korea) in restoring volume and providing a lifting effect to the lateral face. Four cases were treated with 3 cc of diluted Lafullen (1 cc Lafullen+2 cc normal saline) per side, injected into the interfacial layer (superficial musculoaponeurotic system and superficial temporal fascias). Ultrasound imaging and schematic diagrams were used to guide and assess the injections. Results demonstrated significant improvement in facial volume and contour, with a visible lifting effect. This study highlights the potential of PCL-based fillers in addressing age-related volume loss in the lateral face.
