8 Cases of familial polyposis coli are presented, and the literatures are reviewed. Familial polyposis coli is a somewhat rare disease. but if not treated, it can be eventually colon cancer. Clinically, doctors should be attentive of early diagnosis and treatment. The exciting thing about the intestinal polyposes is that they allow us a human model to study the colonic mucosa through the polyp-cancer sequence, and thereby gain insight into the problem of cancer induction.
