Abstract
Herpes zoster is an infectious disease of a varicella zoster virus, characterized by the aperance of vesicles on the skin and mucous membrane. The risk is high in those who have history of trauma, malignant tumor, radiation therapy, and the immunosuppressive drug users. Although rupture of vesicles proceeds healing of the lesions, complications rarely occur such as spontaneous tooth exfoliation, desquamation of herpes zoster accompanying with spontaneous tooth exfoliation and alveolar osteomyelitis of the maxilla.
