Tracheoesophageal fistula caused by benign origin such as trauma, infection, esophageal diverticulum associated and congenital cases is relatively rare. In addition, it has been reported it could be induced by prolonged intubation. The otolaryngologists who manipulate the upper airway should concern about it and the corrective treatment is open surgical method. Recently, we experienced a case of surgical repair of tracheoesophageal fistula in a young woman, so we report this case with a literatural review.
