Abstract

Health insurance review and assessment (HIRA) data are Korean national claim data which is used for many research-related medical treatments. However, due to several regulations to control unnecessary usage of medical resources, it does not comply with the law of demand and supply. To verify reasonable outcome, research should consider these various regulation changes range from regulation of medication to payment system change. Especially psychiatry department has many medications with the risk of abuse and long term treatment period which may affect more by these regulations. To check major changes affecting the usage of medical resources, we arranged regulations related to psychiatric patients.
