Palmoplantar eccrine hidradenitis(PEH) is characterized by painful erythematous papules and nodules of abrupt onset on the soles and palms. The histologic hallmark is a predominant neutrophilic infiltrate surrounding the eccrine glands apparatus. We report a 40-year-old woman who had painful lesions on the palms and soles of 9 months’duration and was otherwise healthy. The skin biopsy specimen showed a mixed infiltrate of multiple polymorphonuclear cells and lymphocytes located mainly in the eccrine sweat glands and periglandular area.
