보건의료정보의 이용과 보호에 관한 법적 쟁점 고찰

Abstract

By developed information technology, the health information is shared and exchanged not only inside of the medical facilities, but also among facilities or countries. The more identifiable health data are gathered and exchanged, personal privacy is more dangerous. In this article, we discussed about personal health information privacy in the e-Health environment in Korea through the understanding the main issues of HIPAA. It is especially focused on the harmony and balance between personal controllability and public benefit of disclosure and use of health information.
