dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the guided bone regeneration, using 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethyl aminopropyl) carbodiimide (EDC), cross-linked type-I collagen membrane in bony defects around the installation site of the implant. In two case studies, presented buccal and palatal dehiscence defects were solved using EDC collagen membrane. Defects were measured clinically at the time of the 1st surgery and were compared with defects at the 2nd surgery. No clinical complication was observed. EDC collagen membrane improved the ability of space maintenance and showed biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity. In conclusion, using an implant with EDC collagen membrane has satisfactory results with regard to esthetic and functional aspects.-
