dc.description.abstractDeveloping specific markers for early detection of adverse events such as kidney failure, cardiovascular events, and all-cause mortality in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients remains a major challenge. Cardiovascular events are the main cause of morbidity and mortality in CKD patients. Recent research supposes endocan as a biomarker for evaluating cardiovascular events, inflammatory diseases, and cancers. Yilmaz et al. propose serum endocan levels as a novel prediction marker of all-cause mortality and cardiovascular events in CKD patients.-
