종합병원 간호사의 노인간호 교육요구 조사

본 연구는 종합병원에서 노인환자를 간호하는 간호사가 필요로 하는 교육의 영역과 내용을 파악함으로서 병원 간호사를 대상으로 한 노인 간호실무 교육 프로그램 개발하는데 그 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다.연구의 대상자는 서울 소재 종합전문요양기관 1개와 경기지역 소재 준종합병원요양기관 1개에서 간호업무를 수행하는 간호사 260명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 수집은 구조화된 설문지를 이용하였고 자료수집 기간은 2005년 5월16일부터 5월26일까지였다.연구 도구는 노인 간호 교육에 대한 요구를 측정하기 위해 노인 간호 이론 6문항, 노인 간호기술 15문항, 노인 건강문제10문항, 노인 간호과정13문항으로 총 44. 문항으로 구성 되었으며, Likert식 5점 척도를 사용하였다.수집된 자료는 SPSS를 이용하여 분석하였으며, 기술적 통계, t-test. ANOVA 의 통계방법을 사용하였다.본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.1. 종합병원 간호사의 노인간호 교육 요구도를 4영역 총 44문항으로 조사한 결과 총점 176점 만점에 평균 120.11 로 높은 교육 요구도로 나타났다.2. 영역별로 나타 난 결과 중 가장 교육요구가 높은 영역은 평균평점 2.98점의 "노인건강문제" 로 나타났으며 다음이 2.76점의 "노인 간호과정", 2.64점의 "노인간호이론", 2.58점의 "노인 간호기술" 순서로 나타났다.3. 종합병원 간호사의 일반적 특성 중 인구학적 특성에 따른 노인간호 교육요구도 에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 다만 직무관련 특성 중 근무부서에 따른 교육 요구도가 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈으며 중환자실에서 근무하는 간호사들(F값=2.761, p=0.019)이 노인간호 교육요구도가 가장 높게 나타났다.이상의 연구결과를 통하여 종합병원에서 근무하는 간호사의 노인간호에 대한 교육 요구도가 높게 나타난 것은 노인인구가 증가함에 따라 병원에 내원하거나 입원 치료를 받는 노인환자가 증가되면서 요구되는 질적 간호 제공을 위한 지식의 필요성에 대한 결과로 사료된다. 또한 근무부서 중 중환자실 간호사의 노인간호 교육 요구도가 높게 나타 난 것은 노인환자의 중환자실 입원율 증가와 질병의 중증도가 높다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 중환자실에 근무하는 간호사들이 노인환자들의 건강문제를 해결하기 위한 우선 교육이 이루어져야 하겠으며, 노인간호 실무교육 프로그램이 개발 되어야 한다.

[영문]The purpose of this investigation was determine the self-perceived learning needs of nurses employed in two general hospitals to provide evidence to develop education programs. The research design for this study was a descriptive study of 260 nurses employed in two hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggi province.Questionnaires were developed to gather data and four major categories of learning needs ; based on a 5point Likert scale, gerontological nursing theory, gerontological nursing skill, geriatric health problem, geriatric nursing process. Data were collected from May 16, 2005 to May 26, 2005, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, T-test, ANOVA with SPSS.The Results are as follows:1. The average score for education needs in nurses was 120.11 on totsal score of 176.2. Scores for education needs of "Geriatric health problem" was the highest.3. Scores for education needs depended on the department in the hospital was significantly higher than that of the other characters of related career. In particular, the score of nurses worked in intensive care unit perceived as the highest learning needs.(F=2.761; p=0.019)In conclusion, achieving higher score in the nurses employed in the general hospital in this study is considered that educational needs of the nursing quality for geriatric patients is getting increased as a result of the growing elderly population.
