수복물의 overhanging margin이 성견 치은 조직에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구

저자는 수복물의 overhanging margin이 치은 조직에 미치는 영향을 알아 보기 위하여 5

마리의 성견을 사용하여 다음과 같은 실험을 하였다. 실험전 20일간 칫솔질을 시행하여

임상적으로 정상 치은을 형성해 준 후, 대조군은 아무 술식을 시행치 않은 상태로, 실험

10일까지 칫솔질을 시행하지 않았으며, 실험군은 overhanging margin의 수복물을 한 치아

에 매일 칫솔질을 시행한 1군, overhanging margin의 수복물을 한 치아에 실험 10일까지

칫솔질을 시행하지 않은 2군으로 나누었으며 실험 10일째 모든 overhanging margin을 제

거하고 정상 치면으로 회복 시킨 후 칫솔질을 재개했으며 2일 마다의 치태 지수, 치은 지

수, 치은 결체 조직내의 염증 세포변화를 관찰한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.

1. 1군에서는 뚜렷한 변화를 관찰할 수 없었으나 2군에서는 치태 지수, 치은지수, 결체

조직내의 염증 세포수가 시일이 경과함에 따라 증가함을 관찰할 수 있었다.

2. 실험군에서 결체 조직내의 염증 세포중 lymphocyte가 가장 많이 관찰되었다.

3. plasma cell은 2군에서 실험 6일 이후에 현저히 증가함을 보였다.

4. 실험 1군, 2군에서 염증 세포는 시일이 경과함에 따라 증가하였다.

5. oyerhanging margin을 제거하고 칫솔질을 재개시 실험 1군, 2군에서 치태지수, 치은

지수, 결체 조직내의 염증 세포수가 감소하였다.

HISTOPATHOLOGIC SUTDY OF GINGIVAL TISSUE RESPONSE TO THE RESTORATIVE OVERHANGING

MARGIN IN DOGS.

The purpose of this study is to observe the light microscopic change of the

gingival connective tissue response to the restorative overhanging margin in dogs.

The performance of the experiments was made with 5 dogs cleaning with a

toothbrush once a day during the pre-experimental period of 20 days.

Control group: natural tooth and no toothbrushing group

Experimental group 1: overhanging margin and toothbrushing group.

Experimental group 2: overhanging margin and no toothbrushing group.

On 10 days, all of overhanging margin were removed and toothbrushing

reinstituted.

Plaque and gingival indices were measured every other day during the experimental

period and biopsy specimens were taken from the buccal gingiva of each subject.

Each biopsy specimen was placed into 10% neutral buffered formalin, embedded in

paraffin, sectioned and stained with hematoxilin-eosin, Count was made at a

magnification of 400 x. The results of this study are as fellows.

1. In the group 2, plaque index, gingival index and the number of inflammatory

cells in connective tissue was increassed gradually, but in the group 1, distinct

change didn't occur.

2. In the experimental group, lymphocyte was found predominatly in inflammatory

cell types in connective tissue.

3. In the group 2, plasma cells were markedly increased in 6 days.

4. In the group 1, 2, the number of the inflammatory cells were increased as the

days go by.

5. When overhanging margin was removed and toothbrushing reinstituded, plaque

index, gingival index and the number of inflammatory cells in the connective tissue

were decreased in the group 1, 2.
