알코올중독자 부인의 극복력과 사회적지지, 영성

본 연구는 알코올중독자 부인의 극복력을 파악하고 사회적지지와 영성과의 관계를 파악하므로써 알코올중독자 부인과 관련된 정신보건서비스를 계획하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하기 위한 조사연구이다.

연구대상자는 알코올중독자 부인 총 80명이며 자료 수집은 2003년 9월 25일 - 12월 5일까지 하였고 서울, 경기 지역에 소재한 알코올가족친목모임(Al-Anon), 가톨릭 알코올사목센터, 알코올상담센터, 병원, 복지관, 단주모임(A.A)에서 실시하였으며 직접 질문지를 배부하여 조사하였다.

연구도구는 인구학적 특성과 Wagnild 와 Young이 개발한 Resilience Scale, 박지원이 개발한 사회적지지척도, Howden이 개발하고 오복자 등이 번역한 한국어판 영성측정도구를 사용하였다.

수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 11.0 PC 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, ANOVA를 이용하여 분석하였다.

본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.

1. 대상자의 극복력 평균점수는 116.19±21.13(Range 25~175), 문항별 평균점수는 최대 7점에서 4.65점으로 나타났다. 간접적으로 지각한 사회적지지의 평균점수는 74.35±19.84(Range 25~125), 문항별 평균점수는 최대 5점에서 3.03점으로 나타났다. 직접적으로 지각한 사회적지지의 평균점수는 45.49±8.79(Range 5~75), 문항별 평균점수는 최대 5점에서 3.01점으로 나타났다. 영성의 평균점수는 112.45±24.92(Range 28~168), 문항별 평균점수는 최대 6점에서 4.02점으로 나타났다.

2. 대상자의 특성에 따른 극복력 점수를 보면 직업(p<.05), 수입(p<.01), 대상자가 참가하고 있는 프로그램의 기간(p<.05)에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으며 직접적으로 지각한 사회적지지 점수는 수입(p<.05)과, 영성은 종교(p<.01), 수입(p<.05), 대상자가 참가하고 있는 프로그램 참석기간(p<.05), 남편인 알코올중독자의 연령(p<.05) 및 학력(p<.05), 남편의 프로그램 참석기간(p<.01)에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다.

3. 극복력과 영성(r=.731, p=.000), 직접적으로 지각한 사회적지지(r=.346, p=.002), 영성과 직접적으로 지각한 사회적지지(r=.460, p=.000)는 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 순 상관관계를 나타냈다.

종합해보면 알코올중독자 부인의 극복력을 높이기 위한 중재 개발시 직접적으로 지각한 사회적지지와 영성을 높일 수 있는 관련 변수들이 고려되어져야 할 것이다.

[영문]The main purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between reilience, social support and spirituality in wives of alcoholics.

The participants of this study were 80 wives of alcoholics at Al-Anon, Catholic Alcohol Pastoral Ministry Center, Alcohol community center, welfare center, hospital, A.A.

The data collected from September, 25 to December, 5, 2003 using Resilience Scale(Wagnild & Young, 1993), Social support Scale(Park, 1985), The Korean version of Spirituality Assesment Scale(Oh et. al., 2001).

The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t- test and ANOVA using SPSS 11.0 WIN program.

The major finds were as follows.

1. The mean score of resilience was 116.19±21.13(Range 25~175) and the mean score of indirected social support was 74.35±19.84(Range 25~125), directed social support was 45.49±8.79(Range 5~75) and the mean score of spirituality was 112.45±24.92(Range 28~168).

2. There were significant difference in resilience score and occupation(p<.05), income(p<.01), participated program duration of wives of alcoholics(p<.05). Directed social support score was significant difference in income(p<.05) and spirituality score was significant difference in religion(p<.01), income(p<.05), participated program duration of wives of alcoholics(p<.05), age of alcoholics(p<.05), education of alcoholics(p<.05), participated program duration of alcoholics(p<.01).

3. There was a positive correlation between resilience and directed social support(r=.346, p=.002) and spirituality(r=.731, p=.000). there was a positive correlation between spirituality and directed social support(r=.460, p=.000).

In conclusion, directed social support and spirituality must be assessed when planning nursing interventions to increase resilience in wives of alcoholics
