발달장애아동 어머니의 자녀양육으로 인한 스트레스와 가족기능에 관한 연구 : Circomplex Model을 이용하여

이 연구는 써컴플렉스모형(Circomplex Mudel)을 이용하여 발달장애아동이 지닌 문제에 대한 가족치료적 중재의 필요성 여부를 검토하고 발달장애아동의 특성과 발달장애아동 어머니의 특성에 따라 자녀양육으로 인한 스트레스 정도와 가족기능 수행정도가 어떠한지를

알아보기 위하여 1994년 4월에 일개 대학병원에 내원한 발달장애아동 어머니 119명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.

1. 발달장애아동의 특성이나 발달장애아동 어머니의 특성에서 자녀양육으로 인한 스트레스 정도와 연관성이 있는 변수는 가족유형과 관련성을 보여주고 있었다. 특히 3가지 자녀양육스트레스 영역중에서도 부모영역에서의 스트레스 정도가 가족유형간에 연관성을 토이고 있었다.

2. 발달장애아동의 특성중 의미있는 변수로는 치료에 대한 치료적응도가 낮으면 부모영역에서의 스트레스 정도가 높아 결과적으로 조화된 유형의 가족보다는 극단적인 유형의 가족이 많았고, 발달장애아동의 장애 심각도가 심각할 수록 부모영역에서의 스트레스가 높아 극단적인 유형의 가족이 많았다.

3. 발달장애아동 어머니의 특성중에서는 발달장애아동의 치료결과에 대해 만족하지 않는 어머니가 부모영역에서의 스트레스 정도가 높아 조화된 유형의 가족보다는 극단적인 유형의 가족이 많았으며, 치료사에 대한 치료만족도 불만족한 어머니가 스트레스가 높아 극단적인 유형의 가족이 많았다. 그리고 본인의 건강상태가 건강하지 못하다는 어머니도 스트레스가 높아 조화된 유형의 가족보다는 극단적인 유형의 가족이 많았고 남편의 협조정도가 비협조적일수록 어머니의 스트레스가 높아 조화된 유형의 가족보다는 극단적인 유형의 가족이 많았다.

이 연구는 일부 제한점을 안고 있지만 발달장애아동의 치료는 임상적인 치료방법 뿐만 아니라 발달장애아동의 일차적인 책임을 맡고 있는 발달장애아동 어머니의 특성을 고려한 가족치료적 개념에서도 충분히 고려해 볼만하다고 판단되는 결과로 생각되며 발달장애아동의 가족치료적 개념에서 적절한 치료적 중재를 위한 하나의 기초라는 연구라는 점에 의의가 있다고 생각된다. 앞으로 이 연구에서 고려하지 못한 점과 제한점을 보완시키는 연구가 필요하다고 생각한다.

This study was carried out to examine the necessity of family care arbitration for the problems of developmental disability children, and to find out the degree of stress and family function due to upbring the children according to the mother's

characteristics. The enquette was performed for 119 mothers of developmental disability children referred to a college hospital in April, 1994.

The results are as followed:

1. In 3 areas of stress from upbringing the children, the degree of stress in the area of parents showed the relationship between the family types.

2. In the characteristics of developmental disability children, the degree of management adaptability significantly affected the stress in the area of parents and it seemed to be a decisive factor to determine the family types

3, In the characteristics of developmental disability children's mothers, the factors such as the satisfaction at cure results and the personnel involved in cure were predominant. Besides the health status of mothers themselves and their

husbands' cooperation influenced the family types between harmonized and extreme ones.

This study has partly limitations, but it seems to suggest that the cure of developmental disability children should be considered not only in the sense of clinical aspects but in the sense of family cure concept.
