백서에서 발육에 따른 비점막 선조직 점액당질의 분포

dc.description.abstract[한글] 비점막표면은 점액층의 다양한 방어기전에 의하여 외부로부터 침입한 유해한 이물질들로부터 보호되고 있다. 이 점액층 성분들은 전해질, 면역 글로블린, 효소, 혈청 단백질, 점액 당단백질과 각종 세포들로 이루어져있으며 이중 복합당질은 단백질 구조의 조절, 세포막을 통한 이온의 수송, 단백분해효소로부터의 보호, 세포인식, 호르몬이나 다른 복합당질과 세포와의 유착등의 많은 중요한 생물학적 기능을 갖고 있는데 이를 분비하는 비점막 분비세포의 형태는 인간과 동물에서 잘 알려져 있으나 분비 활성도와 연관되어 있는 그 발생에 대하여는 연구가 충분치 않은 상태이다. 따라서 연구자는 성장중인 백서의 비 점막 분비조직을 hematoxylin and eosin 염색 및 alcian blue(pH 2.5)-periodic acid Schiff 복염색을 이용하여 백서의 발생에 따라 비점막 분비조직의 점액당질의 분포를 형태학적으로 연구하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 백서 비점막의 상피층분비세포는 태생 18일째에 처음으로 AB 및 PAS에 염색되는 것이 관찰되었으며 출생후 AB 양성 분비세포의 수가 점차 증가하다 생후 9일째부터 AB 염색강도와 양성 분비세포의 수가 급격히 증가하였다. 2. 비중격 점막하 분비세포는 태생 18일째에 처음으로 PAS에 염색이 되었고 주로 비중격하부에 분포하였으며 출생후 점차적으로 PAS 양성분비세포의 증가를 보였다. 3. 비외측벽 점막하 분비세포는 태생 17일째에 처음으로 PAS에 염색이 되었으며 출생 후 AB 및 PAS 양성 분비세포의 급격한 수의 증가를 보였다. 그리고 AB 양성 분비세포는 상악골갑개에, PAS 양성 분비세포는 사골갑개에 주로 분포하였다. 결론적으로 백서 비점막의 분비세포는 태생에 발생을 시작하지만 방어기전으로 작용하는 분비세포의 기능은 출생전후에 활성화된다고 생각되며 위의 결과는 향후 비강의 분비세포의 발달에 대한 형태학적 연구의 기초자료가 될 수 있다고 사료된다. Distribution of Mucoglycoprotein in Developing Murine Nasal Mucosa Chang Kyu Kim Deparhnent of Medical Science The Graduate School, Yonsei University (Directed by Associate Professor Jeung Gweon Lee) The nasal mucosa is protected by several complex defense mechanisms of superficial mucus layer. Glycoconjugates, one component of the mucus have many important biologic functions. The morphology of the nasal mucosa that secrete glycoconjugates has been well-known, but the development related to its secretory activity remains to be elucidated. The distribution of mucoglycoprotein in the developing murine nasal mucosa, from gestational day 14 to postnatal day 21, was morphologically studied with hematoxylin & eosin and alcian blue/periodic acid-Schiff(AB-PAS) staining. The results were as follows : 1) The epithelial secretory cells began to be stained with AB-PAS at gestational day 18 and the number of AB positive cells continued to gradually increase after birth. From postnatal day 9 on was there marked increase in both the number of AB positive cells & staining intensity. 2) The septal submucosal secretory cells began to be stained with PAS at gestational day 18 & were mainly distributed at the lower portion of the septum. Their number gradually increased after birth. 3) The submucosal secretory cells of the lateral wall were stained with PAS at gestational day 17, AB-PAS positive cells markedly increasing in number after birth. Alcian blue positive cells were present largely at the maxilloturbinate whereas PAS positive cells at the ethmoturbinate. These findings suggest that the secretory activity begin around birth when the nasal cavity first get aerated. They might be the basis of the further detailed morphological study of the developing nasal mucosa.
