Abstract
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an aerobic, Gram-negative bacillus present in water, soil, and plants. Pseudomonas aeruginosa does not belong to the normal skin flora, as the microorganism is unable to withstand dryness. Pseudomonas aeruginosa folliculitis, also known as hot tub folliculitis, can develop after exposure to contaminated water in heated swimming pools, whirlpools, and hot tubes or after diving suit dressing. We report a 30-year-old female with Pseudmonas aeruginosa folliculitis after exposure to a warm, moist environment.
