Background: Postprandial glucose level in type 2 diabetes is very important because it has strong correlation with macrovascular complications. Oxidative stress is factor of development and progression of macrovascular complications. The aim of this study is to provide a pharmacologic therapy meeting the means for reducing the risk for macrovascular complications. Materials and Methods: Total 60 type 2 diabetic patients were divided nateglinide group and control group. After 12 weeks, changes of postprandial glucose and oxidative stress were evaluated. Results: Compared with controls, the nateglinide administration group had significant postprandial glucose lowering, and reduced MDA (malondialdehyde) absorption levels. Conclusion: Nateglinide administration for type 2 diabetes, give a possibility of prevention macrovascular complication by lowering postprandial glucose and oxidative stress.-
