The aims of this study were to evaluate the material properties of the recently developed dual-cured core resin (Experimental product, EP, Meta Biomed Inc., Cheong-won-gun, Korea) and to compare it with other commercial products (LuxaCoreⓇ-Dual, DMG, Hamburg, Germany; MultiCoreⓇ flow, Ivoclar Vivadent, Liechtenstein). Flexural strength and radio-opacity were tested according to ISO 4049 and surface micro-hardness, fluoride release, and cuttability were also evaluated. The data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA and independent t-test(p=0.05) using PASW 17.0 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, U.S.A.). The flexural strength of EP was higher than LuxaCore in both light-curing and self-curing methods(p<0.05). The flexural strength of EP was not significantly different between light-curing and self-curing method(p>0.05). The EP showed the lowest surface micro-hardness among the test groups(p<0.05). For fluoride release, EP was higher than MultiCore(p<0.05). There was no significant difference between EP and LuxaCore(p>0.05). The radio-opacity of EP was higher than LuxaCore(p<0.05). There was no significant difference between EP and MultiCore(p>0.05). The cuttability of EP had no significant differences among the groups(p>0.05). From the results of this study, EP is a suitable material to be used in clinical fields as a core material.-
