Abstract
Postoperative nutritional support is an essential factor to recover the surgical patient. Recently a number of studies report that the enteral nutrition is more physiologic and has less complication compared with the parenteral nutrition. Herein we introduce failed case of appropriate support due to postoperative septic state after subtotal gastrectomy with Roux-en-y gastrojejunostomy. Finally, the patient was fail to recovery because of several gastrointestinal bleeding events and persistent intra-abdominal infection during surgical intensive care unit management.
