Abstract
The past decade has seen significant advancements and faced numerous challenges in the field of global health, with the Korean Society of Global Health (KSGH) at the forefront of these endeavors. Established in 2013, KSGH has aimed to enhance Korea's contribution to global health through research, policy advocacy, and international collaboration. This retrospective analysis reviews the society’s initiatives, including academic publications, conferences, and international partnerships, to assess its impact on the global health landscape. Through qualitative assessment of its achievements and challenges, the study draws on internal documentation, publication records, and feedback from international collaborators. KSGH has played a pivotal role in promoting global health awareness and research within Korea and beyond. Significant achievements include the establishment of an academic journal, hosting international conferences, and fostering collaborations with global health institutions. Challenges remain in expanding the society’s international presence and addressing emerging global health crises. The KSGH has made considerable contributions to global health, yet it faces ongoing challenges in adapting to the evolving global health environment. Strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing international collaboration and research capacity are crucial for future progress.
