Abstract

The annual report on the external quality assessment in immunoserology for 1995 was done in two trials and the differences with previous trials are mentioned below : 1. Up to four different lyophilized specimens were selected for each test and we added a space for your recommended results. Product evaluation for anti-HCV was performed. 2. The number of institutions participating in quality control increased compared with last year(371 institutions), while the percentage for immunoserology decreased(77% in the first trial, 76% in the second trial). 3. The most commonly used method for detection of HBsAg and HBsAb changed to EIA(42.2% and 40.6%, respectively), and the decreased in using RPHA and PHA was proportional to the increase in MEIA. The use of nephelometry for measuring ASO, CRP, and RF increased to 44, 42 and 52 institutions respectively.
