dc.description.abstract | A facebow transfer is typically used for mounting a maxillary gypsum cast in an ideal location in a mechanical articulator. However, the facebow transfer procedure is difficult and may cause the patient discomfort. This proposed technique uses a patient's cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) data to reproduce the occlusal plane in relation to digital articulator scan data, align the patient's gypsum cast or intraoral scan data on the reproduced plane, and then transfer the data to a mechanical articulator. | - |
