청소년 성범죄자의 정신병리에 따른 유형 분류와 치료적 효과의 차이

Abstract

The aim of this study is to classify subtypes of juvenile sex offenders (JSOs) in accordance with their psychopathology and to compare the treatment outcome of cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT). The results of self-report questionnaire of 288 male juvenile sex offenders who were in probation center or juvenile training school in Korea between 2003 and 2010 were analyzed. The subtypes of JSOs were classified with the T-score of 60 of internalizing and externalizing behavior problem subscales of Korea Youth Rating Scale: normal/defensive subtype (n=198), internalizing subtype (n=16), externalizing subtype (n=40), and mixed subtype (n=34). In terms of the treatment outcome of group CBT, depression and trait anxiety decreased, especially in externalizing and mixed subtypes. Anger experience were improved, where as the expression of anger were not, and cognitive distortions about sexual offending were modified after CBT. The importance of these findings for the role of therapist of CBT and enhancing JSOs’ motivation to participate in treatment is discussed.
